Criminy, why would Seyfried deign to play such an ignoble character as Lovelace, such a victim and then victimizer? If she needs to play an early hirsute figure, why not play a more noble character, such as Tracy Lords, (albeit a tragic DoJ victim, but at least not a rabid turn-coat crusader), or a more modern smooth operator like Kasidie, that star in her own system, neither a captive of Hollywood, nor the Valley?
Better yet, why not pioneer a really noble character, say one that originally serves the MPAA, (that ostensibly innocuous organization that gave us movie ratings, that psycho-virus that caused our whole fractured-society mess in the first place, with all its myriad gross-distorted caricatures from what otherwise might have been a far nobler humanity), but then finds her soul and fights to destroy the MPAA?
