Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Italy has a new Michelin three-star restaurant today with the promotion of Osteria Francescana, Massimo Bottura’s establishment in Modena, while four other restaurants gain their second stars.

They are: Principe Cerami, Hotel San Domenico Palace, Taormina; L’Olivo, Hotel Capri Palace, Capri; Quattro Passi Massalubrense; and Oliver Glowig, in Rome. No fewer than 33 are awarded their first stars, taking that total to 250.

Among Italy’s regions, Lombardy still has the most stars, with a total of 56 starred venues, Michelin said today in an e- mailed release. Piedmont ranks second, with Campania and Emilia- Romagna coming an equal third. Tuscany is the most dynamic region, with six new starred restaurants and six new Bib Gourmands, representing value for money.

Milan's Hotel Principe Di Savoia is taking ice-cold drinks to a new level. Instead of merely plopping in some cubes into its drinks, the hotel bar is serving its wintertime libations in glasses made of ice .

The iconic hotel's recently renovated Principe Bar says the icy glasses stay frozen for up to four hours . You'll have to pay for sipping out of the carefully crafted cups; the drinks cost 19 euros apiece. Although we couldn't get the secret technology for the specially made glasses, we received the lowdown on the seasonally named drinks. Just toss your own glasses in the freezer to make like you're at the Principe.
