Inter head into Sunday's game at Genoa on the back of a morale-boosting
European win, beating Lille 2-1 for their third straight triumph in
Group B.
Having endured a wretched spell in Italy to fall 11 points adrift of league
leaders Juventus, Ranieri now wants his side to show their European form on the
domestic front.
''All the victories are important considering we have had very few this
season,'' Inter coach Claudio Ranieri said. ''It's not true that we give more in
Europe than we do in the domestic front.
''Things just seem to go our way in the Champions League and I'm sure that soon
that will be the case in the league. Whether the win over Lille marks a turning point in our campaign depends only on us.''
Saturday's 2-1 home defeat by Juventus was Inter's fifth loss in nine league
games and left Ranieri's side one place above the relegation zone heading into
Sunday's game.
