IT was launch night for a Middlewich hotel on Friday after The Kinderton was given a £240,000 makeover.
The Kinderton Street pub and restaurant opened its doors after a five-week refurbishment project giving visitors a first glimpse at its new look.
Owner Richard Dutton, from Cranage, has taken over the pub from the Greene King brewery.
It is a completely new venture for the 37-year-old as he is the managing director of cabling company Dutton Contractors in Brooks Lane.
Richard said: “It’s a lovely building. It just needed refurbishing and bringing back to life. The area needs it - that’s why I did it.
“This is completely new to me. I was nervous, I didn’t know what to expect, but the opening night was amazing.
“The doorman clocked 600 people in and out. I was a bit overwhelmed by it.”
