Tamar Braxton went to bat for her big sister Toni Braxton at the New York premiere of "Braxton Family Values."
Braxton fans gathered at the Tribeca Grand Hotel for the screening earlier this week and leaped at the chance to get the inside scoop on season 2. But not all of the audience members' questions were cool with Tamar, who is very defensive of her family.
Things got a little uncomfortable when one member of the media asked whether Toni would speak about her battle with lupus and bankruptcy more "candidly and realistically" this season, NecoleBitchie.com reports.
Tamar immediately jumped in to protect her big sister's name before Towanda interjected to smooth over the situation.
“Hold on, I feel like you’re trying to come for my sister,” Tamar defended, explaining that there are some things that Toni just can't talk about—and not because she doesn't want to. “Toni has always been very honest about her health, her finances, her relationships and her children but you have to realize that we have to set boundaries and there are some things that Toni wants to talk about but just can’t, legally.”
