A woman walking in the 5200 block of University Way Northeast � better known as The Ave � told police she was shot by a BB gun Saturday afternoon.

The woman thought the shot came from an apartment complex on the east side of the street. Police saw "an obvious dimple in (her) upper arm and she was bleeding slightly," Officer Bryan Kennedy wrote in an incident report.

The victim declined medical attention, and no suspect was identified.

In other University District news, two women were mugged Tuesday afternoon near the University of Washington.

According to a safety notice sent to students, the first robbery occurred at 1 p.m. near University Village in the 2700 block of Northeast 45th Street. A group of four or five men approached the woman and grabbed an iPod Touch that she was listening to.
