TCU pulled within six early in the second half on Ventress’ three-point play, but the Lady Bulldogs, whose biggest first-half lead was 19 in the closing seconds, went up 53-41 with 16:18 remaining on Armstrong’s straightaway 3-pointer.
Jasmine James had a career-high eight steals and scored 14 points for Georgia, which improved to 5-1 against TCU and 28-5 in openers under coach Andy Landers.
The Horned Frogs dropped to 11-2 under coach Jeff Mittie in openers.
Meredith Mitchell finished with 10 points and 12 rebounds for Georgia. TCU never led.
