A suspended member of the men’s cross country and track and field teams is one of six individuals facing criminal sexual conduct charges for inappropriate contact with a minor.
General management freshman Aaron Virgil Tait has been charged with three counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct for his alleged interaction with a 13-year-old girl from his hometown of Big Rapids, Mich.
Tait, his 19-year-old twin brother Kyle Robert Tait and Jalen Harvey-Alexander Carter, 19, of Kalamazoo, Mich., each face three charges of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, Montcalm County Prosecuting Attorney Andrea Krause said.
The other three men — Rodney, Mich., resident Colby Lee Conklin, 18, Grand Rapids resident Taylor Robert Carter, 21, and Big Rapids, Mich., resident Michael D’Andre Smith, 18 — all face at least one count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct as well, Krause said.
