Fans of the late-Sixties New York music scene should visit the Friedhof
Grunewald-Forst, once known as the Cemetery of the Suicides and the
Nameless. Here you will find the grave of Christa Päffgen, better known as
Nico, the German model and singer featured on The Velvet Underground’s early
albums.
Take the U2 to Theodor-Heuss-Platz, then a 218 bus to Schildhorn. Head off
eastwards into the woods and after about 20 minutes you will reach the
