Beaujolais & Beyond Wine Festival
The French-American Chamber of Commerce Dallas/Fort Worth is hosting its’ annual Beaujolais Wine Festival from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Friday, November 18, 2011 at the newly-opened Omni Hotel, 555 S. Lamar Street in downtown Dallas.
The annual wine tasting, gourmet food sampling and silent auction event, now in its 28th year, is expecting over 2,000 attendees.
Since the 25th anniversary, the Beaujolais Festival has incorporated a theme for the event. This year’s theme is the 1960s. People are encouraged to attend dressed in apparel of that decade. There is also a look-alike costume contest for gentlemen who are dressed as Mike Myers’ main character from the Austin Powers movies. Sommelier event sponsor Goody Goody is offering a private, six-person wine tasting as the prize.
