The small but growing Mondrian boutique hotel chain plans to open its first location in Europe in London.

The hotel - set to open in early 2014 - will open within the Sea Containers building on the South Bank of the Thames River, Mondrian-parent Morgans Hotel Group says in a press release .

Expect a splashy restaurant and hip rooftop bar created by Las Vegas-based nightclub operator Light Group , of which Morgans recently purchased a majority share.
